Terms of service
The rules for using this site, and the one promise I will never make you. Short version: nothing here guarantees you a result, and the real work is governed by a signed agreement, not a web page.
1. Agreement
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. In these terms, "I" and "me" mean 2X JAMES CORP trading as 2X James, and "you" means whoever is using the site.
2. What this site is
This site describes services and sets out how I think about paid advertising and search. It is information and opinion. It is not advice for your specific business, and reading it does not create a client relationship between us.
3. No guarantee of results
This is the important one, and it is the same thing I say on sales calls.
Nothing on this site is a promise of revenue, leads, rankings, traffic or any other outcome. What I sell is the work of finding your true cost per lead and your true cost per sale so that you can make an informed decision. Whether that turns into profit depends on your offer, your pricing, your sales process, your market and factors outside anyone's control.
Any figure, case study or example mentioned anywhere on this site describes what happened in that specific situation. It is not a prediction, an average, or a typical result, and you should not treat it as one.
4. Services are governed by a separate agreement
If we work together, the scope, fees, term, deliverables and ownership are set out in a written agreement signed by both of us. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, the signed agreement wins. Nothing on this page is an offer capable of acceptance, and submitting the contact form does not create a contract.
5. Third-party advertising platforms
Work on your behalf runs inside platforms I do not own or control, including Meta, Google and YouTube. Those platforms set their own rules and change them without notice. They can reject an ad, restrict an account, change costs, or suspend access for reasons they do not always explain.
I will work within their published policies and tell you promptly when something is blocked, but I am not responsible for their decisions, their outages, their billing, or changes they make to how their systems work. Your account with each platform is governed by that platform's own terms.
6. Intellectual property
The text, design, images, logo and code on this site belong to me, except for third-party components used under their own licences. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy the site, republish substantial parts of it, or use the 2X James name or mark for your own business without written permission.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use this site to break the law, to send automated traffic or scrapers, to attempt to gain access to systems you are not entitled to, to upload anything malicious, or to harass anyone. I can refuse service and block access for any of the above.
8. Links to other sites
Where this site links somewhere else, that is for convenience. I do not control those sites and I am not responsible for what they contain or what they do with your information.
9. Disclaimer
This site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. I do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any information on it is complete or current.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost business opportunity, arising out of your use of this site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the fees paid to me in the previous three months.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Indemnity
You agree to cover me against claims and costs arising from your misuse of this site or your breach of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Dakota, and the courts of South Dakota have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
13. Changes
I may update these terms. The version published here is the one that applies, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
