Privacy policy
What this site collects, why, who else touches it, and how to make me delete it. In plain English, because a policy nobody can read is not really a policy.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to this website and to enquiries you send through it. It does not cover the separate agreement that governs client work. If you are already a client, the data terms in your signed agreement take priority over anything here.
2. What I collect
Information you hand over
When you fill in the contact form, you choose to send me:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your business name
- Your website address, if you give one
- A monthly ad spend range
- Which channels you are running
- Whatever you write in the message field
Nothing on this site asks for payment details, government ID numbers, or any special category of personal data. Please do not put that information in the message field.
Information collected automatically
The site is served by SiteGround, which keeps standard server logs. Those typically include your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested and the time you requested them. They are used to keep the site running and secure.
Third-party services that load on this site
- Google Fonts serves the typeface. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which means your IP address reaches Google when the page loads.
- Google Analytics measures how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and for how long.
- Meta Pixel tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when someone who saw an ad visits the site or sends an enquiry, so ad performance can be measured.
- Google Ads Conversion Tracking does the same for Google and YouTube ads.
3. Why I collect it
- To answer you. The contact form exists so I can reply to your enquiry and work out whether I am the right person for the job.
- To run the business. Keeping a record of enquiries, quotes and the work that followed.
- To keep the site working. Logs, security and fixing things that break.
Where UK or EU law applies, the legal basis is your consent when you submit the form, and my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running a secure website.
4. Who else sees it
Your enquiry is stored and handled using GoHighLevel. Those providers process the data on my instructions and under their own security terms. Beyond that, I share personal information only where the law requires it, or with a professional adviser such as an accountant or lawyer who is bound to keep it confidential.
5. What I do not do
- I do not sell your personal information. I never have.
- I do not add you to a mailing list or an automated sequence because you filled in the contact form. If you want email from me, you have to ask for it separately.
- I do not share your enquiry with other clients, partners or affiliates.
6. How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept for 30 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for as long as the relationship lasts, and afterwards for as long as tax and contract law requires, which is usually 7 years in South Dakota.
7. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can email me and ask to see what I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. I will action it within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or the EU, the GDPR also gives you the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what is collected and why, the right to deletion, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (I do neither), and the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of those rights.
To exercise any of this, email 2xjamescorp@gmail.com.
8. Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own.
9. Children
This site is for business owners and is not directed at anyone under 16. I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I will delete it.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and enquiry data sits behind access-controlled accounts. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security, but I will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information and the law requires notice.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, I will update the date at the top of this page. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept the current version.
12. Contact
Questions, requests, or a complaint about how your information was handled: 2xjamescorp@gmail.com.
